API REFERENCEDescription
The Kendo UI for jQuery Scheduler enables you to restrict the events and improve the control over the resources by using its API. You can prevent not only the drag and resize capabilities of the appointments, but also allow and prevent the creation of a new event, or the modification of an existing one by any criteria defined by you.
For example, double-click on the Call Charlie about the project event, change the attendee to Bob, and click SAVE. As a result, the This person is not available in this time period.
will occur. Also, if you change the start date of the HR Lecture event to 10:30 AM, you will get the This person is not available in this time period.
error.
The logic which enforces the restrictions in this example resides in the resize
, move
, and and save
event handlers of the Scheduler.
This Scheduler example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of jQuery demos, with which you can see all Kendo UI for jQuery components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Kendo UI for jQuery Dojo or ThemeBuilder.
