      Persist state

A common requirement for web apps is to save the user customization and settings when interacting with your app, and then restore them once he/she logs back at some point in the future.

The Kendo UI grid exposes the capability to save and restore settings that were previously applied to its structure using the getOptions and setOptions methods from its API. These methods allow you to serialize the grid current state, when needed, and then recover it at certain point in time. In this particular example we use localStorage key/value pair to save and load grid settings.

Further info on the setOptions and getOptions methods is available in this API section.
