The jQuery DropDownList allows you to display a single selection from a list of choices, and provides virtualization and customization through templates.

In this demo, you can see the DropDownList with enabled templates and cascading functionality.

Functionality and Features

  • Data binding–Allows you to bind the DropDownList DataSource either to local arrays of data or to remote data.
  • Grouping–The DropDownList grouping functionality enables you to display data items that are categorized by a specific model field.
  • Server Filtering–You can control the filtering functionality of the DropDownList and filter the data on the server.
  • Virtualization–The virtualization functionality improves performance when large data is loaded in the DropDownList. It uses a fixed amount of list items in the popup list regardless of the dataset size.
