The jQuery Area Chart enables you to display Error Bars to show variability of data. Error Bars indicate a provisioned error or uncertainty thus providing a general sense of how precise the measurement the Chart displays is. Typically, Error Bars support statistical calculations based on the series data. The supported types are standard error, standard deviation, and confidence intervals, or minimum and maximum values in a ranged dataset. For example, the following demo shows series.errorBars
of "stddev"
. The Error Bars function uses markers that are drawn over the original chart and its data points.
This example shows how to use Error Bars in the jQuery Area Chart by specifying them as part of the series.errorBars
property. Error Bars are offered by the Area, Vertical Area, Column, Bar, Line, Vertical Line, Scatter, and ScatterLine series types.
This Area Chart example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of jQuery demos, with which you can see all Kendo UI for jQuery components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Kendo UI for jQuery Dojo or ThemeBuilder.
