The Kendo UI for jQuery MediaPlayer plays video files from static sources or streams online YouTube videos and enriches your website with dynamic content in a user-friendly interface. The component provides a styled video UI functionality by using the HTML5 video
element and brings powerful media capabilities to your applications.
The current demo shows a basic MediaPlayer configuration that streams online YouTube video.
The jQuery MediaPlayer control is part of Kendo UI for jQuery, a comprehensive, professional-grade UI library for building modern and feature-rich applications. The Kendo UI for jQuery collection provides 110+ UI components, an abundance of data-visualization gadgets, client-side data source, and a built-in MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) library.
This MediaPlayer example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of jQuery demos, with which you can see all Kendo UI for jQuery components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Kendo UI for jQuery Dojo or ThemeBuilder.
Functionality and Features
- Playlists–The MediaPlayer provides the option for creating your own playlists and for enabling or disabling the seeking forward.
- Multiple sources–You can also add multiple sources for the same MediaPlayer video.
- Localiaztion–The MediaPlayer allows you to localize the tooltip texts from the MediaPlayer.
- Keyboard navigation–The MediaPlayer provides the user with keyboard access to control its behavior.
