The DatePicker component is part of Telerik UI for Blazor, a professional grade UI library with 110+ native components for building modern and feature-rich applications. To try it out sign up for a free 30-day trial.

The Telerik UI for Blazor DatePicker component allows users to effortlessly edit and select values directly into the input area or from a calendar popup. The values of the two controls are synchronized to enable further change of the chosen date.

To use the Telerik DatePicker in Blazor applications, you simply need to add the <TelerikDatePicker> tag in your razor page and bind a DateTime object to the component. The current demo shows a primary example of using the Blazor DatePicker component by selecting a travel date, which is then displayed as text. In the demo configurator, you can adjust the debounce delay property of the UI component, which allows control over the time delay and response to the change of the date values.

Additionally, you can customize the Blazor DatePicker with the available configuration options: formatting, minimum and maximum values, bottom view in the popup calendar, calendar view, tab index, placeholder, disabled dates, value, id and validation event. The header of the picker popup can also be customized using the <HeaderTemplate> tag, which allows you to render your own buttons and navigation. You can also take advantage of the appearance setting parameters, allowing you to easily configure the component size, shape and fill mode.

The Telerik DatePicker for Blazor combines date editing functionality with an animated dropdown and exposes multiple events that let you handle user actions, such as date selection and current value confirmation, change and validation.

The DatePicker also provides a parameter to show the week number in the Calendar popup.

This DatePicker Overview example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of Blazor demos, with which you can see all Telerik UI for Blazor components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Telerik REPL for Blazor or ThemeBuilder.
