Description

This demo shows the per-user message settings of the Kendo UI for jQuery Chat through the authorMessageSettings and receiverMessageSettings options. It features a WhatsApp-style layout where the author's messages hide the avatar and username, while receiver messages display both. Different messageToolbarActions are configured per user type—author messages show reply and delete, while receiver messages show reply and copy.

Use the configurator to toggle showAvatar, showUsername, and messageWidthMode per user and observe how each setting affects the rendering. The enableFileActions and enableContextMenuActions settings control whether file and context menus are available per user.
