Description

The Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Grid provides a SmartBox toolbar component that combines traditional search with AI-powered semantic search and intelligent assistant capabilities in a unified interface.

This demo showcases the SmartBox functionality which allows users to seamlessly switch between standard text search, semantic search, and AI assistant modes. The SmartBox includes search history, customizable placeholders, prompt suggestions, and speech-to-text support to help users interact with data more efficiently.

In the example above, you can switch between modes in the AI Smart Box to explore each way of interaction. Use the keyword search for exact matches, try semantic search with queries like "home entertainment" to find related items like "Board Game Set", or ask the AI Assistant to apply Grid operations in natural language.

The demo above uses a third-party service to implement semantic search for demonstration purposes. For production applications, evaluate and select semantic matching techniques that best suit your specific data characteristics and accuracy requirements.
